Good leadership always makes a difference; unfortunately, so does bad leadership. This leadership truth continues as we will be talking about laws 13-Picture and 14-Buy-In of the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. I am sure that everyone remembers the childhood phrase “Monkey see, monkey do.” When boiled down, this is exactly what the Law of the Picture teaches.

Alloy Products Corp. Receives ISO 14001: 2015 Certification

I am proud to announce that client Alloy Products Corp. (APC) has received certification to ISO 14001: 2015  for Environmental Management from registrar TUV. This adds to the company’s certification to ISO 9001: 2015. President Betsy Bear-Hoff created and chaired an environmental “dream” team of Todd Schlicht, Tanya Tavernia, Emily Lynch, Nick Dunne & Ray Woo that were charged with accomplishing this significant task in under two months. The results were a perfect audit! Congrats to the team and appreciation for all the cooperation & hard work.

Bear-Hoff stated:

“Environmental protection and compliance have always been a core strength of APC, but going through the certification process definitely has raised our game and made us a better environmental partner.”

Great leaders are committed to victory and make things happen, period. To make this point I would like to borrow a lesson from Genghis Khan in my book Notorious: Business Lessons from History’s Most Ruthless Leaders. Lesson 7 in the book is “Lead from the Front”. One of the most enduring mantras in leadership is “Never ask a follower to do something you are not willing to do yourself”. Anyone within a couple of decades of my age remember this tagline from the ubiquitous commercials of the 70s & 80s for the E.F. Hutton stock brokerage. 50 years later it still sticks with me, and John Maxwell has leveraged it into one of the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. Fundamentals of PCB Technologies

American Standard Circuits has done it again! The 3rd book in their growing library of educational books for the electronics industry is a “must have” for PCB designers, OEMs, fabricators, and anyone new to the PCB industry. As the title suggests, the book covers the fundamentals of manufacturing printed circuit boards, starting with simple single-sided product through extremely complicated advanced technology multilayer and hybrid boards. The book explains very complicated technology like HDI, flex/rigid flex, RF microwave and thermal management in a way that is easy to understand and comprehend. This should be required reading for anyone in the industry. Download it now here https://www.asc-i.com/fundamentals-pcb-tech

HT Pho-Tronics receives MIL-PRF-31032 Certification

I am extremely proud to announce that client HT Pho-Tronics has received certification to MIL-PRF-31032 from the DLA (Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime). The company had long held the MIL-PRF-55110 certification, which has been replaced by MIL-PRF-31032. This certification adds to the company’s other QMS merit badges of ISO 9001 and AS9100. Unlike the ISO and AS certifications that focus on the quality management system, MIL-PRF-31032 is a printed circuit board performance certification concerned with manufacturing and process control, testing and reliability. The management team and workforce were heavily involved in the transition and were a key component of the success of the project. A heartfelt thanks & congrats to all!

About HT Pho-Tronics

Pho-Tronics was founded in 1962 as a privately held family owned and operated business and has recently been acquired into the HT Global Circuits family of printed circuit board factories. HT Pho-Tronics has been manufacturing high-reliability, complex printed circuit boards for over 50 years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the aerospace, military. Industrial, medical and commercial industries. Their 60,000 sq. ft. facility was custom built in 1980 for the specific purpose of manufacturing cost effective printed circuit boards. Product excellence Is achieved through a dedication to continuous process improvement through lean manufacturing principles, SPC and advanced root cause analysis.
